DSC GPS: Anchor Phenomenon for a Coherent Sequence of Science Lessons



This in person workshop will introduce K-12 teachers to the role of phenomena and design challenges in science teaching, with a particular focus on equity. Participants will spend the first day at that AGFC Rick Evans Grandview Prairie identifying phenomenon while generating a working definition and how it supports 3-dimensional teaching and learning. Participants will then experience how phenomena can be introduced at the start of a unit, in order to launch a student-driven series of questions. Day 1 will be at the AGFC, Rick Evans Grandview Prairie , 1685 CR35N, Columbus, AR 71831 https://www.agfc.com/en/explore-outdoors/nature-and-education-centers/regpcec/
