SCSC-How to Find your Cupholders! with Kris Shinn



This is a fun day of learning for educators, for the ones who have ever questioned, “Why did I go into this field in the first place”, for those who have turned gray prematurely, doubled their medications, or just simply lost their passion because of the stressors of your job. Airing your Dirty Laundry attendees will discuss with their cohorts the reasoning behind why nearly fifty percent of teachers leave the profession within their first 5 years and
how we can keep from falling prey. Many ideas, hands on group activities and self-reflection moments will occur throughout the day, encouraging a healthier lifestyle, how to obtain good mental health, how to become organized, the push for being a minimalist and how it can be used within the learning environment and learn to put ourselves first without the guilt... Because just as the saying goes, “When Mama ain’t happy, ain’t not nobody happy,” is true here too.... When the teacher isn’t happy the students aren’t happy either....  TESS Components:  1d, 2b, 4a

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee.
