NEA - GPS: Anchor Phenomenon for a Coherent Sequence of Science Lessons

This in person workshop will introduce K-12 teachers to the role of phenomena and design challenges in science teaching, with a particular focus on equity. Participants will generate working definitions of phenomena, design challenges, and disciplinary core ideas to support the process of identifying phenomena related to a bundle of three-dimensional standards. Participants will then experience how phenomena can be introduced at the start of a unit, in order to launch a student-driven series of questions.

If you are not under contract with the Northeast Arkansas Education Cooperative or one of our 14 member districts, you will be responsible for all fees related to this workshop.  The fee for this workshop is $30.  Payment is expected the day of the training unless prior arrangements have been made.
