NEA - GPS: Science Unit Development

This in-person workshop will engage teachers in the development of a science instructional plan for a school year. During this workshop, classroom teachers will develop grade/course-specific science units of study grounded in phenomena.  Teachers will develop a year's scope and sequence, bundle performance expectations into units of study, choose essential learning targets, develop assessment plans, and begin writing lessons for the units. In this Grasping Phenomenal Science (GPS) session, come and work with other teachers in your grade level and/or course to collaboratively develop your plans for the next school year. Individual teachers and grade-level teams are welcome.

If you are not under contract with the Northeast Arkansas Education Cooperative or one of our 14 member districts, you will be responsible for all fees related to this workshop.  The fee for this workshop is $25.  Payment is expected the day of the training unless prior arrangements have been made.
