GFESC K-2 RISE Day 4



The science of reading has taught us that fluency is more than the number of words a student can read in a set amount of time. In this session, participants will look at how to increase fluency by building automaticity in the sub-skill of letter ID, phonemic awareness and decoding skills. Orthographic mapping will be defined and techniques to improve this vital skill will be discussed.
