Thinking Money for Kids: Educator Sneak-Peek, IN-PERSON, Bentonville
Bentonville Public Library (BPL) invites elementary and middle school educators to a sneak-peek of the American Library Association's Thinking Money for Kids exhibit from 4:30 - 6:00PM on Thursday, September 8. Not only will you have a chance to see the exhibit which is targeted for 1st-6th grade students, but you will discover great financial literacy resources from Economics Arkansas.
Thinking Money for Kids is a traveling museum-quality exhibition for grades 1 to 6. Through a community-market-themed storyline, digital interactive content and other hands-on activities, the exhibition explores topics like earning, saving and spending money as well as making responsible financial decisions. The exhibit will be at BPL from September 10 to October 15.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive:
1.5 hours of professional development credit
$10 Walmart eGift card
FREE children's book spolighted in the session
Light refreshments
Field trip opportunities to the Library are also available for classes in grades 1 to 6. During their visit, students will explore the exhibit and take part in other small-group financial literacy activities. Lesson plans developed by Economics Arkansas will be sent to teachers for use before and after their visit.
