Day 5 Text Level Comprehension: Participants will examine factors that affect
reading comprehension. Effective
methods for teaching comprehension will be reviewed. Comprehension is a product of decoding and language
comprehension. Participants will
understand that weaknesses in comprehension cannot be addressed the until the
weaknesses in the subskills of reading are identified and remediated.
This is for educators that have completed 3-5 RISE Days 1-4.
