WDMESC: School Engagement Facilitators: Skills, Ideas, and Best Practices to Power Your School Year
Every school in Arkansas has to have one a family engagement facilitator. What does the job look like at your school or district? Do you want to transform the job from an “other duty as assigned” to something that can give your school’s relationship with families and the community a complete makeover? This is the workshop for you! A regional program advisor from DESE's Engagement team will facilitate a two-hour session incorporating Arkansas Essentials for effective family and community engagement designed to help you:
-Explore relationships and resources that assist families as active partners in learning and support for their students.
- Discuss how best to gain and maintain the support of partner organizations in your town.
- Examine and break down barriers to your school's effective communications and ability to reach all parents.
