OUR Science of Reading (SoR) Morphology for Grades 3-6
Participants will learn essential practices for teaching and learning new words, including how morphology and etymology instruction support decoding, vocabulary development, and comprehension in the content areas. This Science of Reading session fulfills the Morphology component for Proficiency Pathway D and is designed to help content teachers teach students to get excited about word learning. This session is targeted for grades 3-6 content teachers, but the information can be adapted to meet the needs of older students as well.
