Economics for a New Year

Target Audience:  K-5th grade educators

Chinese New Year is January 22, 2023.  During Chinese New Year it is customary for parents and grandparents to give leisees, lucky red envelopes that contain money,  to children in their families. In the book, Sam and the Lucky Money, Sam is excited to finally be old enough to spend his money any way he chooses.  But when Sam realizes his grandparents' gift is not enough to get the things he wants, his excitement turns to disappointment.   Luckily, there is a lot of great economics to learn from this children’s book and others so join this webinar for some new ideas to start your new year!

Upon successful completion, participants will receive:
1 hour of professional development
Choice of a book featured in the session
