OUR Use of K-2 Assessment Data to Support Grade Level Student Learning



The focus of this session will be on looking at K-2 Assessment data as well as other data available at these grades to determine if students are reading on grade level. Discussion will be provided on making instructional decisions for students based on individual needs which may include enrichment/extending learning or remediation. Time will be provided for focus in grade level groups for K, 1. and 2 with the groups then sharing with the whole group. Participants will be provided time to develop a plan of next steps for rigourous instruction for when they return to the building/classroom using grade level high quality instructional materials per the Arkansas Initiative for Instructional Materials.

Participants are asled to bring assessment results from the mid-year administration of the K-2 Assessment used by their district.

This session is for principals, district level administrators, instructional facilitators and grade level teachers. At a minimum, building principals should attend with at least one lead teacher from the K-2 grades with optimum attendance being a lead teacher from each grade.
