SWAEC- Narcan (naloxone) Training

Narcan (naloxone) nasal spray can be used for emergency use of a known opioid overdose. Narcan temporarily reverses the effects of opioids and can be lifesaving for a person who has overdosed. Drug overdose is the leading cause of accidental death in the United States and opioid use is driving this epidemic. Opioids were involved in 49,860 overdose deaths in 2019 (70.6% of all drug overdose deaths). This training will educate participants on opioid abuse and use of Narcan in an emergency situation.

**Participants who complete the training will receive one FREE Narcan kit.

This training is also open to School Resource Officers.
