SWAEC- Planning, Conducting and Analyzing Emergency Operation Plans

Crisis planning is a vital part of school safety, and schools should review and practice their crisis plans often. In this course, participants will learn how to plan, conduct and analyze a tabletop version of their Emergency Action Plan, utilizing all vital personnel. Instruction will be given as to what agencies should attend, what concepts need to be covered as well as possible scenarios to be considered. Participants will then be instructed on how to take lessons learned from the tabletop version and create a full-scale drill in order to test their action plan. This will enable participants to further identify any weaknesses in their action plan and make appropriate adjustments, therefore ensuring the maximum safety of their school facilities and campus. Target audience: Law Enforcement and Educators
