OUR Enneagram & Resiliency for Educators

Teacher job satisfaction encompasses a number of things including relationships,  self-care, expectations and the realities of the day to day work.   We tend to know things we “should” do; however we often do not do them.  Why?  Self-awareness work may help us to answer that question and further our ability to get closer to our ultimate goals.  The Enneagram tool allows educators to gain insight into the motivations behind their behaviors and examine how it impacts communication, interpersonal relationships, and self-care practices.
A dysregulated adult can not regulate a dysregulated child.  As a result, the self-care practices of educators are a critical component to teacher effectiveness.  We will begin with a look at the impacts of trauma and how it shapes our personality armor and behaviors.  Educators will gain more understanding about what true self-care is, and what it is not.  It will include discussion about the practical application of research on topics like ACEs (adverse childhood experiences), self-compassion, belonging, and more.  We will take time to help you identify what stands in your way and possible action steps to help you plan a more resilient way forward.
