SE Understanding Juvenile Law
This course is designed to provide school resource officers, school administrators, school security officers, counselors, and law enforcement officers with an overview of the juvenile justice system and related laws. This training will serve as a survey of the administration of juvenile delinquency and justice, including the structural components of the juvenile justice system and the stages of the criminal process, from the detection of crime and arrest through prosecution, adjudication, and rehabilitation and its alternatives. Emphasis will be directed upon analysis of decisions and practices within the entire juvenile justice system as well as discretion in the administration of juvenile justice.
