AFESC-Building Numeracy-Addition



Do you wish your students came to you with more number sense and more confidence in learning higher math? In today’s world mental arithmetic strategies and the ability to judge the reasonableness of an answer has risen in importance. In this session, we will look at how to support building numerical relationships for students and strengthen our own numeracy skills. All teachers math are welcome whether you deliver classroom instruction or intervention instruction. Hear what other participants have said: "This will reprogram your brain. It will improve your arithmetic skills. It will provided you with tools and strategies to empower your students’ understanding in math overall not just numeracy."

This session will address instructional strategies most appropriate for the following levels of instruction:

Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3

Current educators in Arch Ford PD Consortium districts may attend the session for free.  All others will be required to pay the session fee on the day of the session. Arch Ford educators receive priority for seats in a session.
