NWAESC(2095)-Magnifying Critical Thinking: An Interdisciplinary Approach for Grades 3-12
Come spend the morning investigating the natural world through the unique perspective of the jeweler’s loupe. This engaging strategy scaffolds students’ abilities to analyze, interpret and evaluate across disciplines. Using a four-step protocol of viewing, questioning, writing/ drawing, and analogizing, students will identify connections in what they MAGNIFY and theorize along the way. Useful lessons for sharing the protocol in English Language Arts and Science will be shared. Prepare to think outside the box!
