OUR The Reading Comprehension Blueprint Series: Inferencing
This three hour session is part of The Reading Comprehension Series. Participants will define inference and frame it within the context of the Science of Reading. They will examine how the two necessary types of inferences enhances reading comprehension for students of various grade levels. Participants will also understand the Levels of Understanding in reading comprehension and how cohesive devices contribute to reading comprehension, as well as steps for teaching necessary inferences. Lunch will be included in the cost of this session. Participants will need The Reading Comprehension Blueprint book for this session (included in the morning session on vocabulary or bring your own copy). Lunch will be served prior to this session, beginning at 11:30.
