GREC-Planning Your Year, Units, and Lessons in Science K-12

This in-person workshop will engage teachers in the development of a science instructional plan for a school year. During this workshop, classroom teachers will develop grade/course-specific science units of study grounded in phenomena.  Teachers will develop a year's scope and sequence, bundle performance expectations into units of study, choose essential learning targets, develop assessment plans, and begin writing lessons for the units. Bring any curricular resources that you hope to use during the upcoming year (teacher editions, student editions, lab books, etc.), and come work with other teachers in your grade level and/or course to collaboratively develop your plans for the next school year. Individual teachers and grade-level teams are welcome. We are hosting this session at Lee County High School, but science teachers from any Arkansas school are welcome to attend!
