WDMESC Recruiting and Retention Department is hosting a series of study sessions for those who are in need of assistance in passing a teacher Praxis exam for initial licensure or a current teaching position. This is the first of six total sessions provided.
WDMESC commits to proctoring a dedicated study time, and access to study resources (Study.com, 240Tutoring.com, and Mometrix study guides), and cooperative specialists who can assist with study tips and guidance. While there may be some cooperative specialists available who can provide some content specific help, we cannot guarantee this. These are virtual session ONLY. If a quiet study space is needed at the WDMESC Teacher Center, pre-arrangements must be made. Cameras must be left on the entire time, all study resources and log ins must be confirmed before the 4:30 start time, and paperwork must be completed and submitted to Jackie Starks in advance.
*All study sessions are open to all novices, but ONLY those who complete specific requirements as explained in the NT Praxis Study Cycle Commitment document will be eligible for reimbursement of 2 Praxis exams.
If there are no participants in person or via Zoom within the first 30 minutes, the session will be canceled. Participants who arrive late or leave early will only receive credit for the time spent in the session in 30 min increments. Participants who attend virtually must share their screen and keep their camera on to receive credit.
Participants are expected to make the NT Department aware of specific Praxis study needs and/or tutoring needs at least 24 hours prior to date of first attendance.
