WDMESC: Strategic Communication for Interacting with Juveniles



School Resource Officers and school personnel spend much of their daily activities in communication with students. This course will provide participants with a foundation in strategically communicating with juveniles. Topics covered include using active listening skills, rapport building, verbal judo, teen brain development, and de-escalation tactics for use in dealing with conflict.
