DSC Physics & Physical Science Day with Fluids & Floating #1
Teachers will study the forces associated with Fluid Dynamics, the newest unit added to AP Physics 1 in 2025. We will examine demonstrations and sample problems on buoyancy and engineer a floatation device. Led by two AP Physics Readers, we will demonstrate a suite of options that would engage students in Physical Science to Physics while highlighting AR Standards in energy, forces and waves. The Crosscutting concept that we will focus on is Stability & Change. The afternoon will be spent investigating and evaluating our homemade floatation devices in the Eubanks Lake for a private party. Dress in shorts/swimwear/bring sack lunch/water bottle/sunglasses/sunscreen. Swimming opportunities available but not required.
