NEA - ACT 754 District Workday

Act 754 District Workday will allow districts to learn about the specific requirements of Act 754, known as the "Student Data Vendor Security Act."  Instruction will also be given on the Access 4 Learning (A4L) website, a FREE option for districts to host their vendor list of student data privacy agreements.

There are a few things you need to do before attending the workday:

Start making a list now of vendors or (School Service Providers) that collect, maintain, or use student personally identifiable information (PII) data that you know you all use.  You may want to break your vendor list into Paid and Free categories.  You might get with your curriculum coordinator to help make the list.

Be sure to bring your list(s) to the workday.

"School service" means a website, online service, online application, or mobile application that:

(i) Is designed and marketed primarily for use in a preschool, elementary school, or secondary school;

(ii) Is used at the direction of teachers or other employees of a local education agency; and

(iii) Collects, maintains, or uses student personally identifiable information.
