WDMESC Novice Teacher Mentoring Department is hosting a series of proctored study sessions for those who are in need of assistance in passing a teacher licensing exam. This is the first of nine total sessions provided during the month of March 2024.
These are NOT teaching sessions! WDMESC commits to proctoring a dedicated study time. NOTE: The following must be arranged by notifying WDMESC NT Mentoring Department (jstarks@wdmesc.org) 24 hours in advance of the study sessions or you will NOT be permitted to join!
1. NT Praxis Study Cycle Commitment and W-9 must be completed and returned to WDMESC NT Mentoring Department. Email jstarks@wdmesc.org to have these documents sent to you.
2. Study Resources - Make sure you can log in and access all needed study resources. WDMESC will provide study resources such as Study.com, 240Tutoring.com, Mometrix study guides as is available and depending upon the content area of the test.
3. Study session Zoom link - Once registered for a session, a Zoom link should be sent to you. If you do not receive one, notify WDMESC NT Mentoring (jstarks@wdmesc.org).
Expectations during Study Time:
1. Cameras must be left on the entire time
2. You must study the entire time (this is not the time to multi-task with personal things.
3. You must inform the proctor of exactly which study resource you are using and what chapter/content area you are studying for at both the beginning and the end of the session.
If there are no participants within the first 30 minutes, the session will be cancelled. Participants who arrive late or leave early will only receive credit for the time spent in the session in 30 minute increments.
***All study sessions are open to all teachers, but ONLY those who complete specific requirements as explained in the NT Praxis Study Cycle Commitment document will be eligible for reimbursement of up to 2 Praxis exams.
