AFESC-Engagement and Rigor for the Novice Teacher
Bring your classroom to total Mastery! Novice teachers will spend the day examining the 4th and 5th levels of the Hierarchy of Student Excellence - focusing your energy on maximizing student engagement and rigorous instruction. Learn strategies to engage all your students in content, disciplinary literacy, and attention. Designing questions and assessments to promote complexity of thinking through DOK to ensure all students are learning at high levels. These elements will support best teaching practices and put you on the journey to being highly effective.
