CRESC - Literature to Art with Illuminated Manuscripts



This session encourages the use of cross-curricular lessons that incorporate Fine Arts and ELA. With this presentation, teachers will be shown how to motivate and encourage students to master Arkansas standards. The presenters will be utilizing backward design to connect the Arkansas standards to the state-approved curricula. This lesson will emphasize the Reading & Comprehension Strategies while preparing students to take the ATLAS. We will use a written critique and verbal discussion as an assessment to ensure that teachers and students have gained understanding during this lesson.
