The ATC Summer Institute sets the conceptual, pedagogical, and organizational foundation for Fellows’ three-year teaching commitment. Utilizing a cohort model, Institute facilitates a six-week intensive learning experience at the nexus of theory and practice. Sessions are aligned with the four ATC development outcomes and Fellows receive individualized coaching from their Summer Mentor to cultivate the knowledge, skills, and mindsets used in planning and delivering Aspiring Teacher Rubric-aligned instruction.
This summer, Fellows will complete professional development in gaining skills in content delivery, lesson planning, scaffolding, designing assessment, measuring student outcomes, questioning, creating equitable classroom procedures, building student and professional relationships, equity, emotional resilience, and building equitable classrooms.
