GFESC Special Education Novice Teacher Training-Day 1 of 4
Special Education Novice Teacher Training-Day 1 of 4: The Guy Fenter Education Service Cooperative (GFESC) will work with member school districts, administrators, special education supervisors, the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education, and other agencies to provide novice special education teachers the professional development and support needed to ensure that all children with disabilities receive a free and appropriate education as outlined in the Individuals with Disabilities Act. The day incorporates the principles of Universal Design for Learning and High Leverage Practices. TOPICS ADDRESSED IN DAY 1: Overview of most common disabilities, the IEP, and progress monitoring (*Topics are subject to change according to participant need.)
