DSC Level 2 Assessments



This 2 day course focuses on general principles for administering and scoring standardized assessments when identifying students with characteristics of dyslexia. Participants will also learn specific administration/scoring guidelines for several commonly administered Level II assessments. The Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing -2, the Gray Oral Reading Test -5, the Woodcock Reading Mastery Test – 3, the Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement – 3, and several others will be discussed, demonstrated, and practiced. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss a variety of assessment profiles and consider intervention strategies for those students who qualify for Tier 3 dyslexia intervention. Educators attending are those who should be responsible for administering tests and performance measures and/or using the results to identify students with dyslexia characteristics and recommend placement.
