Day 2 October 8th: Implementation Essentials
Planning for Instruction
Anchor planning conversations using the unit design
and essential questions to ensure alignment with
instructional goals and student learning needs
Core Routines
Implement core routines effectively in the classroom to
support students; reading comprehension,
language development, writing, and speaking and
listening skills
Scaffold and Differentiation
Assess and monitor student progress through the
connection and building of core tasks such as
Performance-Based Assessment and Performance
Tasks
Use formative assessment techniques to monitor
understanding and differentiate instruction
