CRESC - Deepening Your Work as a Lead Teacher

This "launch" is to provide participants with a group learning experience that exposes them to the "big ideas" that will be covered in greater depth in upcoming, focused, shorter professional learning experiences throughout the year. It is ideal for any teacher with a Lead or Master Teacher designation who may work in a mentoring capacity.

Topics will include:
The importance of defining their role: The Lead designation is relatively new. Efficacy in the role can be impeded if the role isn't defined, and to some extent, it will be up to the Lead to define
their role within a school community.

Leadership skills:
Identifying the critical attributes of a lead teacher -- collaboratively working with colleagues as an effective leader with an actionable process of continuous improvement. The effective lead teacher develops a professional teaching community using effective
communication and deep listening skills.
