Research shows that the math fact timed tests of our past are only effective with a small population of our students. How can we support students in learning their math facts in ways that promote conceptual understanding and build to automaticity without the fear that often comes with fluency?
During this hands on session, teachers will explore strategies that can be used to build understanding and move the students towards fluency with the facts. Teachers will look at resources from top math educators and build a toolbox of resources to take back to their classroom.
