Gifted Education Institute

- Session 2:  Social/Emotional Needs of Gifted Learners

Participants will:

  • Identify Dabrowski’s five overexcitabilities in gifted children. Learn what they are and how to successfully manage them.
  • Identify the six profiles of giftedness and the implications to current instructional practice.
  • Identify the unique needs of Twice Exceptional students (Gifted Children with Disabilities).

Important Session Information:

In preparing for the new Ohio Department of Education's Gifted Operating Standards, Hamilton County Educational Service Center will offer a Gifted Education Institute. Participants will receive specialized training in gifted education competencies during these interactive sessions. Participants may accumulate up to the 30 required contact hours by attending the sessions listed below and completing a "Putting Theory into Practice" implementation plan.


$109 for a single session or register for all four sessions for $100 each using promocode foursessions.

Team of 4 or more:  attending one session for $99 using promocode teamof4 or a team of 4 or more register for all four sessions for $90 each using promocode teamof4all.

Time: 8:00 am-3:30 pm (Lunch on your own)
