Social Emotional Learning - an online course

Are you an educator who feels emotionally drained at the end of the school day? Do you spend most of your time settling arguments, conforting crying children, and reminding students that fighting isn't the answer? If so, this course is the perfect fit for you.

The Social Emotional Learning course will allow participants to:

  • teach the 5 SEL competencies.
  • know how mindfulness increases students' focus, decreases test anxiety, and improves impulse control.
  • understand how effective classroom management impacts a student's social emotional development.

Important Session Information:

Social Emotional Learning, offered only online, features theories, resources, and ideas that can be implemented in any subject area or grade level. Topics include the SEL competencies and how to teach them to students, mindfulness and it's impact on student focus and impulse control, and brain-focused strategies for learning.

Participants will be asked to complete assignments, engage in online discussions with the learning cohort, and share implementation ideas via sample lesson plans. There are 6 modules. Each module has 2-3 lessons.
