Fostering Creativity - an online course

Are you an educator who wants to make teaching and learning fun again?  Given time constraints, testing requirements, and more rigorous standards, do you find yourself puzzled as to how?  If so, this course is a perfect fit for you.




Fostering Creativity will allow participants to:

  • reveal the power of play in the development of higher thinking.
  • demonstrate ways to cultivate divergent thinking using questioning.
  • illustrate how developing grit and practicing mindfulness enhance social emotional learning.
  • use strategies that foster creativity and problem-solving to engage and motivate students.

Important Session Information:


Fostering Creativity, offered only online, features theories, resources, and ideas that can be implemented in any subject area or grade level. Topics include grit, mindset, mind-mapping, creative blogging, and convergent v. divergent thinking.

Participants will be asked to complete assignments, engage in online discussions with the learning cohort, and share implementation ideas via sample lesson plans. There are 6 modules. Each module has 2-3 lessons.

45 Contact Hours or 4.5 CEUs. (Certificate available upon course completion through ESCWorks.)
