Does it seem like your students always have their eyes on a screen and their hands on a device? To reach them, learning needs to be interest powered, peer-supported, production centered, and openly networked. If you want to add these concepts to your classroom, this course will help you get started!
Globally Connected Learning will allow participants to:
Globally Connected Learning, offered only online, features theories, resources, and ideas that can be implemented in any subject area or grade level. Topics include how gaming, creating, and curating improves critical thinking, the characteristics of Generation Z learners, and exposure to more than 50 free online tools. Participants will be asked to complete assignments, enage in online discussions, with the learning cohort, and share implementation ideas via sample lesson plans. There are 6 modules. Each module has 2-3 lessons.
45 contact hours or 4.5 CEUs will be available upon completion of the course. (Certificate of completion available through ESCWorks.)
