Important Session Information:

Megan Iverson, Program Director of Refugees Connect, will share resources and tools for meeting the academic and social-emotional needs of refugee and asylee students in our schools. In the afternoon session, HCESC Consultant Jason Haap will share an introduction to trauma (including ACE's as well as trauma's impact on the brain and central nervous system) is packaged through the lens of systems-level change. Explore how trauma may indicate a need for radical revision to a school's or district's processes and procedures. In short, this session provides a basis for building a 'trauma-informed' system.

Due to COVID-19 Closures, this will be a Zoom webinar with M. Iverson in the AM session and J. Haap in the PM session. You will receive an email with the Zoom link prior to the event.  If you do not receive the email by April 29th, please contact Becky Leming at becky.leming@hcesc.org.  Thank you.
