The world changes according to the way people see it, and if you can alter, even by a millimeter, the way people look at reality, then you can change it.”
Educators play a crucial role in helping students understand and talk openly about historical and current inequities and discrimination. Regardless of who you are, your role, your intentions or how long you've been in education, we can all benefit from a One Degree Shift in our thinking, knowledge, and understanding. While one degree may seem insignificant, a slight shift has the potential to make a substantial impact in understanding your students, families, and colleagues.
We invite you to join Katrice Quitter and a cohort of other educators for a unique virtual professional learning series to explore diversity, belonging, equity, and inclusion in your system:
Session 1: Let Me Take a Selfie!
Session 2: Widen Your Aperture
Session 3: Focus on Critical Conversations
Session 4: Pixel by Pixel-From Awareness to Action
** Additional small group and/or one-on-one virtual coaching sessions will be scheduled individually with participants/teams**
Moving from theory to application, this cohort will have participants take learning, ideas, and resources from each session back to apply in their schools and classrooms. No matter where you are on your journey, we invite you to join us to learn, listen, talk and share - we learn and shift better together!
Ashland credit is available upon request (1 or 2 credit hours)
Register a team of 4 or more for a discounted fee of $300 each person. Use promo code teamof4 each time a person registers.
**These sessions will be held via Zoom. Once you are registered, you will receive an email with the Zoom link prior to each event. Please contact Katrice Quitter at firstname.lastname@example.org if you do not receive the link.
