IEP: Best Practices for Ensuring Compliance and Optimal Outcomes for Students with Disabilities

- Audience: Intervention specialists, related service providers, school psychologists, general education teachers

  1. Discuss IEP components critical for compliance and student growth.
  2. Utilize resources to write meaningful and high quality IEPs.
  3. Investigate progress monitoring practices to make data-based decisions for student growth.

Important Session Information:

Are you new or relatively new to special education or need a refresher on writing compliant, meaningful IEPs? Want to increase your ability in making data-based decisions leading to student growth? If so, join us in reviewing practices to ensure your IEPs meet the Ohio Operating Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities and IDEA requirements. Participants will analyze progress monitoring methods to make data-based decisions resulting in optimal outcomes for students with disabilities. Participants need access to their IEPs and ETRs for the training. A padlet of resources and information will be provided.
