Science in the Movies

Through hands-on interactive activities, we get teachers excited about, and proficient in, the basic science concepts that they are responsible for teaching. These training sessions are usually the highlight of a teacher’s PD experience as they learn about acceleration and force with air cannons, lift each other on pulleys, freeze flowers in liquid nitrogen, learn about the chemistry of fire and movie explosions, and go back to class eager to spread excitement to their kids.

Important Session Information:

This workshop is free of charge.  A continental breakfast will be provided.  Please note that the workshop will be located at the Midland Petroleum Museum located on I-20 in Midland. Presenter will be Steve Wolf and his team.
