Trauma Informed Care and Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities

This training will cover the sources of trauma in the lives of people with disabilities, the biological, emotional and psychiatric effects and the ways in which individuals heal. Practical interventions will be provided as well as various approaches to help in recovery. Happiness and the pursuit of happiness will be discussed with a tool for happiness assessment and implementation introduced.
