2017/2018 Child Nutrition Summer Workshop - Menu Planning, MENU Module, and the Cycle Menu

This class teaches menu planners of the National School Lunch Audience: CNP Directors, Managers and Program (NSLP) and the School Breakfast Program (SBP) how to plan a basic menu, advanced techniques that increase student acceptance and support nutritional requirements and tools that support the menu plan. The course will also give an overview of the new MENU (Menu Enhancement and Nutrition) Module, a web-based system for menu planning, meal production, nutrition compliance, and meal cost analysis. MENU Module is the perfect tool for district employees responsible for menu planning, meal costing, food production reporting, and more. Finally, the class will focus on working with the regionally developed Cycle Menu to customize it for your district, make compliant modifications, and perfect your use of the recipes and food production records. Participants should leave this class feeling equipped and empowered to make the Cycle Menu their own while staying in compliance.
