Accelerating English Language Acquisition

There is a difference between teaching in English and teaching English as a second language. This training focuses on the stages of second language acquisition, why each stage is important, and how to apply proficiency level descriptors to better assist English learners academically. This training is tailored towards district- or campus-level administrators, instructional coaches, and/or teachers. During this course, participants will gain an awareness about the significance of the stages of second language acquisition, and explore ways to apply proficiency level descriptors in your lessons.
