Participants will have the opportunity to attend two days of engaging and inspirational professional development featuring Engaging All Learners by keynote speaker, John Antonetti. Breakout sessions include all core content areas, Special Education, classroom management/behavior, leadership, instructional technology and cross-curricular sessions. Upon completion of your registration, you will receive a confirmation including a link to select breakout sessions and create your personalized schedule for the conference. KEYNOTE: John Antonetti: Engaging All Learners An engaged learner masters more content and develops deeper skill sets. Even more important, students who can articulate their own thinking become better problem solvers in the academic work and the real world. Science tells us that the facets of learner engagement are simultaneously intellectual, academic, and egocentric. Rather than planning for students to share their personal response at the end of a task, teachers must start the learning with student voice. John Antonetti takes us on a journey through the latest brain research in a humorous, interactive workshop that integrates strategy, thinking and engagement—truly a 3-dimensional approach. He will share tools and strategies from his most recent book, #PowerfulTaskDesign: Rigorous and Engaging Tasks to Level Up Instruction (Antonetti and Stice, Corwin, 2018).
