Learning to Lead




This is a three-day Leadership Academy for Assistant Principals or aspiring school leaders. Participants will learn numerous topics on leadership, accountability, lesson planning, curriculum, running effective schools, data driven instruction, school law, Chapter 37 discipline and much, much more! Following the three-day academy, participants will have access to a fall and spring professional development training day, four to six lunch and learn sessions throughout the school year (not all lunches are included) and two fall and spring half-day capacity on-site campus visits from an ESC 18 Leadership Consultant for participants in administrator roles. This is a great professional learning network for aspiring principals and school leaders.

What Great Principals Do Differently, Chapter 37, Professionalism/Principal Code of Ethics, Building Effective Relationships, Communication Skills, Special Ed Law, Coding, Curriculum & Instruction and Coaching Teachers, Accountability, Education Updates, Lesson Planning & Feedback, TEKS Resource System, Data Driven Instruction, Documentation, PLC’s, Personality Testing, Effective Leadership, Classroom Management, Social Media, Professional Organizations, New AP Checklist, Managing Stress, How to Handle Irate Parents, Best Books on Leadership, Panel of Administrators open discussion…..and Much More!

Participants will also receive a fall and spring training day at the ESC, four to six lunch and learn sessions, and fall and spring half-day on campus capacity building days with an ESC Leadership Consultant during the fall and spring semesters. This is a great professional networking opportunity for new administrators to "Learn to Lead!"
