eLearning GT 30-Hour Training Day 5: Adding Depth and Complexity and TPSP
Summer 2020




In this online course, participants will look at Depth and Complexity through the lens of the eight elements of depth: Language of the Discipline, Details, Patterns, Trends, Rules, Ethics, Unanswered Question, and Big Ideas and the three elements of complexity: Across Disciplines, Multiple Perspectives, and Over Time. Participants will also explore resources within the Texas Performance Standards Project (TPSP). Participants will contribute to the discussion boards, share their own experiences, and research information. The objectives will be met through Internet investigations, investigation of district information and practices, threaded collaborative discussions, quizzes, and assignments. This workshop is aligned to the Texas State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) teaching standards for Gifted Education and the combined standards set forth by the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC). This workshop meets the Texas State Plan requirements for 30-Hour Initial Training.

Registration is open May 11, 2020 through June 17, 2020.
Course is open from until July 17 2020.

All grading will be complete on July 24, 2020.

Certificates will be available within the workshop system after July 29, 2020.
