SB - 460 - Mental Health Detection, Suicide Prevention and Violence Prevention
Title IV, Pt. A - Mental Health Training for Educators
Share
In the 84th Texas legislative session, a unique course was developed and presented from Texas Tech on helping educators learn about mental health conditions that are prevalent in school-age children and how they can support referrals for intervention in an effort to stop suicide and quell homicidal ideation before a disaster strikes. SB 460 Mental Health Detection training helps educators develop a better understanding and familiarity with best practices for intervention and possible prevention of mental health crisis events.
