Need your required GT 6 hour update? Region 18 is hosting GT 6UP - GT 6 hour update opportunities on July 20 @ Region 18 ESC. SESSION CHOICES WILL BE POSTED SOON! There will be AM sessions for 3 hrs and PM sessions for 3 hours and choices to register for one AM and one PM session to receive your 6 hour update hours.

Multiple genres are woven into every strand of the new ELAR TEKS. Students must understand the text structure of various genres in order to be able to analyze text effectively. Participants will engage in virtual activities to support deep learning of genre specific text structure. They will learn and apply strategies for teaching comprehension both within the literary genres and nonfiction genres of literature for both reading and writing.
