Handle with Care TOT
Instructor Certification




This is a training for Handle with Care trainers. The fee is covered in the Programs and Services manual and is billed per district, not per participant. Districts that use Handle with Care as their restraint training module are encouraged to send someone to this training.

Important Session Information:


THERE WILL BE A COST OF $1500 PER DISTRICT FOR 2 PARTICIPANTS.

·         Participants attending HWC Training must certify they are healthy and to the best of their knowledge NOT at risk of spreading COVID (i.e. do not have COVID symptoms, do not have COVID, and are not in a quarantine or stay at home period if exposed to COVID).  Participants must complete the Region 18 ESC Attestation form online within 24 hours prior to the onsite training. https://cloud.edlink18.net/covid-19/.

·         Participants who show signs of symptoms of COVID cannot attend training.

·         Districts are responsible for providing its employee participants/employees with protective gear including gloves, masks, sanitizer and anything else it deems necessary.  Participants will not be allowed to enter the training room without temperature taken and protective gear. Diligent hand sanitizing can be used instead of gloves.

·         Client understands that HWC Training consists of a physical component where, at times, person-to-person contact is required and social distancing will not be possible.
