The Home on the Range science workshop, sponsored by a grant to Welder Wildlife Foundation, provide hands-on, active learning with many outdoor activities to help teachers make real world connections to science. The workshop provides engaging, student-centered activities with alternative assessments that meet the needs of all students, and require the use of higher order thinking skills. Lessons are easy to use and require only inexpensive and easily obtainable materials. Each participant will receive the complete Rangelands guide, which contains 27 student-centered lessons using hands-on, real world science investigations.
